Dr. Reza Pourdarvish Named Research and Development Engineer at SAFER Systems

Camarillo, Calif. – SAFER Systems, the global technology leader in chemical emergency management solutions, has appointed Dr. Reza Pourdarvish to the position of research and development engineer.

Joining an established team of top talent, Dr. Pourdarvish will be involved in the full software development lifecycle with special emphasis on developing, verifying and validating new and existing SAFER Systems software models.

His experience includes employment as a chemical and software engineer for Lomic, Inc., where he specialized in software development, custom solutions and training for the natural gas industry. Reza also held the posts of Postdoctoral research associate at the Department of Chemical Engineering at Pennsylvania State University and visiting research scientist at DuPont. With an extensive background as a chemical and process engineer with expertise in the area of polymers and specialized skills in computer programming and modeling, Dr. Pourdarvish brings strong credentials to SAFER Systems. He is also a gifted technical lecturer and author who has presented at an array of professional association meetings and symposiums. His work has been published in a number of professional journals including the Journal of Applied Polymer Science and the Journal of AIChE.

Dr. Pourdarvish earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, after graduating at the top of his class from Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran, where he received his M.S. and B.S. in Chemical Engineering.
