Some projects are so big in scope, they define a year of work. It’s almost as if everything our team had worked on in the past was leading us to this project…

…okay, that might be too dramatic, but the importance—and size—of completely revamping Workrite’s industrial flame-resistant (FR) workwear catalog cannot be understated. This new look was going to define not only the catalog, but all subsequent campaign creative—so we had to nail it. And that meant approaching our work from a totally different vantage point, from the copy, to the order and flow of the products, to the photography angles, to the diagrams.

This was a true “all hands on deck” project—we listened to team members that had been working on the Workrite account since the start for a foundation of knowledge, and mixed that in with the creative thoughts of our newer staff that had less familiarity with the brand to come up with an approach that balanced the new with Workrite’s key messaging. If we argued about it, we knew we were on the right track.

Some projects are better left hidden until we can show the client the final design, when all the pieces that may look questionable by themselves come together to form a unified and aesthetically on-target whole. But there was too much riding on this catalog to take such a risk, and through several honest, in-depth and collaborative meetings with the Workrite team, the new Workrite catalog was sent to print.

We took “revision” literally, and the result is a piece we know we will be proud to display for years.
