A Very Merry Mustang Holiday

UntitledMustang Marketing switched things up a little bit at this year’s annual holiday party, which took place at La Dolce Vita in Oxnard, but the good food, great company and laughter remained.

Instead of the traditional holiday ornament making and gift giving, we opted to do a Secret Santa cookie exchange and contest instead. Impossible, you might say, to make a cookie that (1) tastes good, (2) exudes the persona of your Secret Santa and (3) is impeccably packaged. But, nothing is impossible for the Mustang team!

There was a gingerbread house for Jenny, who just moved into a new house in Ventura; gold-tinted peanut butter and marshmallow bars for Jess, who prefers gold over chocolate; a lunchbox filled with Star Wars-shaped treats for Brett (a self-proclaimed Star Wars nerd), and a “pot o’ gold” themed batch of peanut butter chocolate bars for Scott (aka, the “Honey Bourbon Bandit”), just to name a few of our culinary creations.

The winners of the contest went above and beyond in both creativity and taste, and included (in order)…

  1. Randall, who made a Simpsons-inspired dozen of donut-shaped sugar cookies for Michael
  2. Nerissa, who made a nut-, candy- and marshmallow-abounding pizza cookie for Chris, who’s known for using every topping imaginable at MOD Pizza (except for olives!).
  3. Jess, who made individually packaged magic bars filled with a hodgepodge of sweet ingredients for Randi, the uncontested queen of desserts

Needless to say, it was a wonderful, delicious way to wrap up another successful year!
