Mustang Munchies: Week 26

Every Tuesday, the Mustang staff eats lunch together at a local restaurant that falls in the price range of about $10 per person. For 2012, we’ve decided to try a new restaurant every Tuesday. Yep, that’s 52 different restaurants to try this year!

Although the Mustang team was sad Dianne couldn’t join us for lunch on Tuesday, we took advantage of the opportunity and selected a cuisine she opposes: Chinese!

Randall had requested some sort of Asian food every Tuesday for weeks, but to no avail. Finally, the day finally arrived where his wish came true. Too busy to leave the office for lunch, a quick order-in solution was needed. Randi produced a menu from a place she enjoyed in the past, called Lakeview Garden Chinese Restaurant, and nobody objected.

Opting to order family style, each team member selected an appetizer or entrée to share with the group. Even with a list a mile long, it didn’t take too long for our food to arrive at the office.

“The kung pao shrimp and scallops tasted great,” Ginny said. “I’m pretty sure I stole it all before the others even reached that container.”

After three helpings of orange chicken, it was pretty obvious what Brett’s favorite part was. “You can’t go wrong with orange chicken,” he said.

Michael and Randall made sure crispy duck made it on the Mustang menu. “It was my favorite part of the meal,” Randall said. Having never sampled duck, Ginny ventured a taste. Her critique was also glowing.

Having hit the spot for each member of the Mustang team (with the exception of Dianne, who finds it revolting), the Chinese fare of Lakeview Gardens earned a 4m rating.
