ATRA’s Powertrain Expo Shares Latest Trends in Transmission Repair

The expo featured seminars addressing a variety of technical and management topics. Eighteen industry specialists participated, sharing their insights on various new transmission repair technology and how to run a successful shop.
SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association (ATRA) hosted its 18th annual Powertrain Expo on Sept. 9-12 at the San Antonio Convention Center. More than 1,000 people from ATRA member shops and industry suppliers were in attendance.
The expo featured seminars addressing a variety of technical and management topics. Eighteen industry specialists participated, sharing their insights on various new transmission repair technology and how to run a successful shop.
“We are excited at the continued success of the Powertrain Expo,” said Madden. “The transmission repair industry is changing constantly, and we enjoy being able to provide our members with the tools they need to give their customers excellent service.”
Attendees were also able to visit a trade show showcasing new products and services and take a downtown tour of San Antonio. ATRA shops could do technical testing to recertify, ensuring they meet ATRA’s technical standards for its members.
Next year, ATRA’s Powertrain Expo will be hosted in Las Vegas from Oct. 27-31, 2011.
