For Immediate Release
Thursday, July 22, 2010

Camarillo, Calif. – SAFER Systems, the global technology leader in chemical emergency management solutions, is set to participate once again in the National Preparedness Month (NPM) 2010 Coalition.

Reaching out to government agencies, industry, communities, customers and other coalition members, SAFER Systems will share their 30 years of expertise in emergency planning, mitigation and response during NPM, which takes place every September to educate and promote emergency preparedness in the everyday life of America’s communities, businesses and homes.

SAFER Systems’ established array of products complements the NPM’s agenda. They provide state-of-the-art emergency preparedness, response and management solutions for both private and public sector use. Whether employing SAFER Real-Time® in industrial environments; SAFER Homeland Responder™ in mobile, “anywhere/anytime” settings; or SAFER TRACE™ to conduct hazards analysis and risk assessment planning; with a SAFER Systems’ solution one can be prepared.

“SAFER Systems is excited about participating in this important coalition once again, as well as being able to lend our experience and expertise to the campaign,” says Ernest Gilbert, President of SAFER Systems.

Adds Chris Cowles, SAFER Systems’ Global Marketing Manager, “NPM is all about being prepared. Part of this preparedness involves getting the word out in two key ways. First, by increasing the level of awareness of industry, government leaders and agencies, and communities to the potential dangers of an accidental or intentional hazardous materials release, both of which can be prepared for. Secondly, by educating them about available technologies and solutions to keep businesses, communities, emergency preparedness and response agencies more ready and able to more effectively deal with such release events, which continue to occur with relative frequency on a global and daily basis. We believe that this kind of knowledge is essential to being truly prepared and to saving lives.”

NPM is sponsored by the Ready Campaign in partnership with Citizen Corps and the Ad Council, and is open to all public and private sector organizations.
