Michelle De Leon

Michelle joined the Mustang team as our public relations specialist in 2025, after spending the early years of her career working with global B2B technology clients. Though initially she returned to school to pursue a career in journalism, her passion for storytelling led her into the arms of public relations and marketing.

This pivot allowed her to work behind the scenes to spotlight the unique stories of Ventura County Community College District’s students and staff, identify newsjacking opportunities for software start-ups and clarify the sustainability efforts of the largest global semiconductor fabricator. In her technology era, she supported her clients in translating cutting-edge innovations into engaging narratives and positioned clients as industry leaders, building brand recognition through awards and speaking opportunities.

When her laptop closes, Michelle puts more miles on her car than she should to pick up the introverts in her life for some gently encouraged outside time. She is regularly in someone’s kitchen putting a meal together, suggesting a stroll in a bookstore, or pitching a short drive to a “nearby” mountain or large body of water. The rest of the time you can find her taking Bachata and Salsa dance classes or planning the logistics of her next trip.

In every group there is that easy-going person that just shows up and figures it out as they go. This is not Michelle. You can put money on the fact she probably created an itinerary doc, with a supporting spreadsheet, packed sunscreen and camping gear in her car – just in case.

Michelle is who you call if you want to hear about the latest eccentric fact she learned on Search Engine (a long-time favorite podcast), while brainstorming how to leverage the latest social media trend for businesses.
