What do skateboarding and graphic design have in common? It was Stephen’s love of skateboards — and their graphics — that sparked his artistic side when he was a young teenager and he hasn’t looked back since.
At 16, he bought his first keyboard, intent on making instrumentals, a.k.a. beats. And most days in high school, you could find him producing music or messing around with Adobe Illustrator. Messing around turned into real work as he learned more about graphic design and gained a few local clients here and there. But it was at his job at a local radio station, KUZZ, where he really honed his skills building ads and working with print design and layout. Now, at Mustang, Stephen not only works on graphic design requests, but supports our web developer in website builds and layout work.
Stephen brings a pretty chill vibe to the office, so this next part won’t surprise you. He’s passionate about living a healthy lifestyle, making it to yoga class every morning and shopping at Whole Foods. He also enjoys listening to music, any kind of music, not just rap.
He has a 7-year-old Pomeranian named Cash.
He believes The Doors and RHCP to be the greatest.
Stephen enjoys nature and can be found fishing (that’s like a thing with our designers apparently).
